LUNCH & LEARN SEMINARS

You’re invited to PPCC’s Lunch & Learn Series on the fourth Tuesday of every month. This is a free opportunity to learn more about the featured topics as we hope to raise awareness and improve resiliency in ourselves and our community. All Lunch and Learn seminars will run from noon to 1pm and will be conducted at PPCC’s main office at 707 Gum Rock Court in Newport News unless otherwise noted.

Facing Change

Whether you’re experiencing changes in your home life, career, finances, relationships, or another personal transition, change often brings a mix of emotions.  Even positive changes can create uncertainty, stress, and confusion.  This month’s Lunch & Learn will help you identify changes currently taking place in your life at the present time, explore your thoughts, feelings, and attitudes toward change, and develop practical strategies for adapting with greater confidence and resilience. Participants will learn about The Change Cycle, gaining insight into the stages of change and discovering healthy ways to navigate transitions while embracing new opportunities for growth.

Thursday, October 1, 2026, 6:00-8:30 pm

We will be hosting our Annual Fundraising Banquet at the City Center Holiday Inn. The event will feature speaker Chris Renjilian, MD, Associate Vice President for Health and Wellness at the College of William and Mary. Dr. Renjilian will discuss “What Matters: The Power of Human Connection to Promote Resilience & Flourishing”. Tickets cost $100 and can be purchased on our website through Monday, September 21st.

Join us every third Tuesday at 8:30 a.m. for our monthly Clergy Connections meeting in-person or via Zoom!

Would you like to learn more about PPCC, our mission, and how we are impacting our community? We offer an hour-long visit that will give you new understanding about our services and how we are working to meet the challenges of a mental health crisis.
