Peninsula Pastoral Counseling Center is funded, in part, by fees received from our clients. While we do have a standard fee for services, we also offer client assistance for those who lack insurance or the means to pay. As a non-profit organization, the Center depends upon contributions from businesses, denominations, faith communities, and individuals to underwrite the Center’s Client Assistance Fund and to sustain this counseling and educational ministry.
Fees are established by the counselor and the client in the first session and are due at the time of service.
On the staff are counselors who are providers for Aetna, Anthem, Cigna, Compsych, First Health, Magellan, Sentara/Optima, TRICARE, United Behavioral Health, Value Options, and/or Virginia HealthNet. In addition, some staff are in MOS, ESPYR, and/or in other employee assistance plans (EAP's). Coverage is determined at the beginning of counseling.
